While a community has buildings, it is first and foremost made up of people. Our focus goes beyond the buildings we create and centers on the communities we work and live in. We encourage our employees to get involved in their communities. Many of our leadership team members serve on community and organization boards.
Each of the projects we have worked on for the past 20 years has made a mark on the community. We are dedicated to making sure the mark we leave on a community is a positive one. At every stage of a project, we are sensitive to the impacted neighborhoods. We promote economic growth in our communities by using local vendors and subs when we can. We work hard to be good stewards of our communities, making them great places to live and work. We’ve enjoyed community engagement for the last 20 years and look forward to many years to come.
SHAW Wyoming is currently sponsoring the First in Family Program of Community Foundation of Jackson Hole. First in Family is a scholarship program for high school students in Teton County who do not have a family history of higher education. One of the students we sponsored is studying Construction Management at Central Wyoming College and working full time for Mountain Fire Protection, a subcontractor. The hope is that some of these students will join SHAW once they graduate.
Chase Beninga, Managing Partner of SHAW Wyoming, is on the board of the First in Family program and the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole. For more information about Community Foundation and First in Family, visit their website.
